Having got off the ferry in Dieppe we headed towards Le Mans. It was cold and dark but being hard core bikers did we moan, did we complain, did we cry like little children, course we did.

About 5 miles outside the centre of the town of Le Mans we saw a set of Golden Arches and peeled off the motorway to sit down for a well earned coffee and double sausage and egg mcmuffin, well that was the plan anyway, we actually ended up just getting on another motorway that we could not get off for another 20km. Edwards then started to blubber about getting wet so we pulled over and a rest area . Williams, being a resourceful individual decided he did not want either his bike or himself to get wet so parked it in the ladies toilets.

Edwards had the order of things a little wrong choosing to put his water proofs on before going to the toilet. You know that feeling when you really really need the loo and you just cannot get your zip undone quick enough, now put a set of textiles and waterproofs over the top of said zip and you get the idea. The swearing coming from inside the loo was hilarious, the piss stained boots were not.
We then went looking for the McDonald's. Now it is a world wide fact that McDonald's is open 24 hours and that they serve breakfasts up to 10.30 right?
Err no, the first McDonald's we found did not open until 9.30! We could not believe it so we kept driving, fortunately there are a number of McDonald's in Le Mans, it turns out however that the first one we had been to was the "morning" one, all the others were not open until 10.
We took a ride to the circuit and decided better of paying the €25 to go in and watch what ever was going around he track and decided instead to keep searching for a McDonald's.

We lucked out finding another one on the way out of Le Mans, and yes, you have guessed it, closed.
We were so tired that we decided to wait outside for it to open. After 20 mins of waiting we noticed several people entering the restaurant and realized that it was open all along, Dough !!!
At last! Breakfast?
Nope, turns out the French don't do breakfast. We are going to be a lot thinner by the time we get home if it carries on like this !

Oh yea, and we saw a Corsa drive into the back of a truck. Happy days.
